Synod’s Anti-racism Events
The Metropolitan Chicago Synod’s antiracism team puts together a variety of events that can be found here.
“Understanding and Analyzing Systemic Racism” Workshop (October 15-17)
Over the past few years, the staff and over a dozen key leaders in the congregation have attended a 2.5-day workshop entitled “Understanding and Analyzing Systemic Racism,” and we invite you to join us in this work!
The workshop is a learning opportunity for individuals and institutional leaders responsible for diversity or social justice. Using a variety of interactive tools, the workshop explores the historical development of institutional racism and its continuing impact. Participants will also be introduced to strategic methods for dismantling systemic racism. Learn more about the workshop here.
If you’re interested in this two-and-a-half-day event in October 2020 or want more information, please click here or contact either Cathi (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Denise (email@example.com). WPLC is committed to paying for the tuition fee for a number of members for those committing to the entire 2.5 days.
