Director of Music
Norman D. Rodger

Norman Rodger assumed the duties of WPLC’s director of music in September of 2006. In addition to being an accomplished choir director, Norman is also a church music composer, harpsichord enthusiast, and handbell director and ringer. A native of Berwyn, Norman studied piano, theory, musicology, and composition at Chicago Musical College. He has a BA in music and history from Roosevelt University and a Master of Church Music degree from Concordia University, River Forest. Norman has sung or played in numerous Chicago choirs and ensembles, been a staff musician at Unity Temple in Oak Park, and most recently was director of the handbell choir of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
