Ben Dueholm was called as Wicker Park Lutheran Church’s associate pastor on August 9, 2009. A Wisconsin native, he attended Deep Springs College before matriculating at the University of Chicago where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating from the University of Chicago, Pastor Ben entered Americorps, working with Big Brothers and Big Sisters on the north side of Chicago. He enrolled in the University of Chicago Divinity School in 2004. While a student at the Divinity School, he did his field education work at WPLC. Follwing his graduation in 2007, he served a one–year internship at Bethel–Imani Lutheran Church on the south side of Chicago. Pastor Ben returned to Wicker Park Lutheran in the fall of 2008 as a part–time pastoral assisant while completing his Lutheran year at at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. He was ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament on September 19, 2009 at Wicker Park Lutheran Church.

Pasor Ben has written for Lutheran Forum, The National (Abu Dhabi), and a variety of local publications. With Pastor Ruth, he serves on the editorial council of Let’s Talk, the synod's theological journal. He lives in Villa Park with his wife, Rev. Kerry Waller Duehom, and their son Soren.
